Head of buying & product manager

As Head of Buying & Production you are ultimately responsible for managing and strengthening the brand identity of our brands. You work closely with our designers and report directly to other managers and directors.

Do you want to be responsible for creating and ensuring the perfect quality of our various collections? And do you like to interact with various stakeholders to monitor production and collection planning? Then we are looking for you!


These are your responsibilities


  • You are responsible for monitoring the production of our
    collections of different product groups within Malelions. You make decisions regarding production and follow up on any claims.

  • Pipe give to the daily work in Buying, Design and Production.

  • You set up dimension charts, gradings and BOMs.

  • You works closely with the design team on fits, technical possibilities and limitations.

  • You are responsible for the fit and quality of the production and work towards a good price-quality ratio. To this end, you check and monitor sales samples in various phases.

  • You creates and monitors the planning with regard to delivery times and deadlines of collections.

  • You discusses color cards, designs and mood boards with the design team and follows up on the actions that result from this.

  • You are actively involved in fitting sessions of the various collections and implement improvements.

  • Check and monitoring sales samples in various
    phases.

  • You maintains contacts with suppliers. You also make purchase orders, negotiate prices and materials and achieve margins.

  • You analyzes sales figures and draws up an option plan.

  • You conducts market research and keeps abreast of competing brands.

  • You send the daily activities in the Design & Production department and coaches the employees in their growth and development.

  • You have experience with Adobe Illustrator and Excel.

  • You have strong communication and commercial skills, both verbally and in writing (Dutch & English).

  • HBO work and thinking level in the direction of fashion, production or commerce.

  • At least four years of relevant work experience as a Product & Design Manager or a similar position at a clothing brand and experience in a management role.

  • You are available 36 to 38 hours per week.
